The Single Trap Debate

February 6th, 2009

The number of single people has doubled over the past thirty years. Why has there been such a dramatic leap and what has been the impact on our society in general?

That’s the topic that I will be debating on Women’s Hour (BBC Radio 4) this Monday 9th February (you can hear this on listen again at bbc.co.uk/radio4) and at the ICA in London (on the Mall) on Thursday 12th at 7pm. I’ll be chairing a debate about with Kathryn Flett (TV critic and columnist at the Observer) William Sutcliffe (author of Whatever makes you happy) and Emily Hill (from the Guardian) Why not listen in or come along and join the debate.
